My Certification Practicum Final Report
Below is a link to my week 6 day plans during my 10-week certification practicum. Each week, I created detailed day plans that showcased what my students and I were doing during each block. These were TTOC ready and helped keep me structured and organized!
Below is an ADST lesson plan I created for my certification practicum. This lesson ended up being incredibly impactful. Not only did the students have a blast, but they learned about the process of designing, developing, creating, and remodeling. It also sparked an important conversation about team work and how to deal with conflict that can arise while working with others.
Below are a couple unit plans I created that showcase my skills as a teacher. Both of these units were impactful when I taught them and didn’t require a lot of remodeling. One thing I have learned, however, is that teachers will often have to remodel units they create in order to fit the needs of different learners or to ensure they are impactful to a specific group of students. Certain groups of students learn best in different ways – and that is okay!
Below is an example of the kind of rubrics I was creating during my certification practicum. This particular rubric is from a Social Studies unit on the Fur Trade. Students designed their own trading posts and wrote a report describing what they included in their trading post, where it was located, and why!
